    This is a reverse engineered right side cover for the XJ650 Maxim.

    Here it is rendered in red:

    Here is a prototype that I printed in three parts in order to get it to print on my printer. At this stage I have just glued it together and hit it with a little 80 grit. Next will need just a little body work on the joints, then prime, prep, paint. This is just PLA at this point:

    This design features beefed up tab bases and accommodation for an M3x40mm screw to be inserted to give the peg piece more structure. You don't need the screw, but you can strengthen the peg if you want. Just adding the extra print structure for the hole itself seems to strengthen the peg quite a bit.

    Due to the nature of this part, it can be tricky to print. You will need to figure out the best way to do it based on what material you use, your printer, where you want layer lines, etc. etc. etc. You know the drill.

    No, not yet. The left sides are usually cheap and plentiful on eBay, so not as much of a priority.

    I want to get the left side done, but would like to upgrade scanner hardware first.
