82 550 seca tank?

    i know how hard they are to find...but while i am hunting and working on my very beat up one, is there any other tank that will bolt on to allow me to ride?

    but laid it down and did some harm to the tank...let me run it by my partner, it is flipped in our house and he thinks i spend too much on the bike...but...i do see the value in what u have...

    i did find a tank, but does no one know the answer to my original question...it seems like this is an issue for these bikes...

    A 550 Maxim tank will go on a 550 Seca, but sit somewhat awkwardly. Tanks from the larger XJs will be too big, and hang over at the back.

    also a kawasaki 55 was close but took some tinkering.and my bike is far from stock,I do have an extra tank,believe is seca,probably wanna keep it though since project is not done and ever evolving. will keep u in mind though good luck
