    took it off cleaned it forgot to look at which tube went where on the under side of the rack, does it matter?

    Mine ('82 XJ1100J) has a label on it someplace that details this... Seems like it is either under the seat (on seat pan) or on the inside of one of the side panels....
    When I replaced all the fuel lines on mine I used two colors of fuel line to the petcocks as you have to remove the fuel lines from the petcocks every time you remove the tank. Having the grey and black lines makes it easier for me to remember which one went where.

    Good idea.

    That whole thing is a cluster-bleep. I rebuilt one for a member about a year ago and just getting the spigots on the valve oriented correctly was challenge enough.
