    should have used a soft eraser or crocus cloth NOT sand paper whichn may have left grit on the surface causing more unwanted "polishing" when running .

    Maybe when the thread was new, but that was long enough ago that I have no memory to go on.
    One thing that I do know is that he got very lucky finding that tank. I doubt that you will find one, and if you do it's really better used to restore the bike that it came from. NSU motorcycles are very collectable, and spares can be hard to come by.

    ..yes i ve looking for an old r-60_is bmw tank for my bike...something about that little storage spot makes me smile thinking on those crazy germans and their ingenuity...you know..
