85 xj700 rear gear oil

    Gone as far as I can go working on this bike until the parts arrive in the mail so I figured I change the rear gear oil but the only place that has the right gear oil for it is a 35 minute drive away from me I've looked all over and can't figure out how much to buy so I don't have to make two trips to that store does anyone know how much it takes it's an 85 XJ 700 Max air-cooled and is there any tricks to it I should know

    Final gear case oil amount 0.22 US quarts, 0.2 L , 0.18 imp qts SAE 80 API GL-4 hypoloid Gear oil.

    1 quart will do 3 changes
    fill to the threads of the plug

    trick remove fill plug first at 3:00 position on hub.
    then drain plug.
    it would be bad if you drain it and could not fill it.

    do not mistake the air vent at top for plug
