    Well, eco's new approach has been to slide this over into my garage and let me have a crack at it. I've been slowly digging into it and finding out what needs to be done.
    I suppose I could post a few pictures of it, but it's just laying there in pieces/parts!

    Good Luck with your project.
    I had to fabricate the side covers (they are actually just a flat piece of thin steel)
    I took the paint down to bare metal and painted the tank and sides in my shed using rust oleum paint and a clear coat 2 max.
    I learned a lot from this site and u tube university. If you have any questions reach out I will help you with anything I can .
    I even replaced the seat cover myself 36.00

    @shotgunsmitty , where in NC are you? While riding in the mountains is awesome most of the time, right now not so much. But we do get to ride all winter.

    lol it was 31 degrees when I left on my bike for work. Tomorrow it’s gonna to be 42 but I hope to ride until November 15 . Southern New Hampshire in the fall wouldn’t change it if I could. Good luck to all!
