    Easy fix though; cut a bevel on that side of the gear.

    Sorry for the delay on the update. I had been searching for a company that could do this with a feasible budget. I knew this was going to be a pricey part, so I set aside around $2,500. I could not find one company that would touch it for under $4,500! I've dug deep into my pockets for this build, but that's just too deep for me. On the positive note, we know that this mod is possible. Maybe someday, if this build turns out like I hope, I'll look into this again.

    Look into just the cost of having the gear heat-treated. If you have access to a lathe with an indexable headstock, you can cut the gear yourself.
