Does anyone know if there's a triple tree from another bike that would fit on an 81 xj550 maxim? Something that would fit the forks I already have and hopefully holds the same size 7/8 handle bar.

As you guys probably know, the handle bar brackets on the stock triple tree kinda curve in toward the tank, which causes my slightly curves drag bars to hit the tank (the corners of the controls hit the tank). I'm kinda hoping by using a tree that doesn't force the handle bars to sit closer to the tank, that it'll help the problem.

I'm thinking possible a virago tree or maybe even the seca version of that bike?

Well, see...the problem is the rise. Look up how an 81 Maxim 550 triple tree looks. The bar mounts have a built in rise as well as a significant pull-back. I'm trying to not have that.
