If you’re looking at the number by the oil filler then that is the oils capacity. For the actual cc’s, look at the little rectangle on the front of the head between exhaust 2 and 3. Or, look at the first three alpha-numeric characters in the BIG rubbed rectangle where the ENGINE NUMBER is that would match the VIN if it’s still the original engine.

With that price I am guessing that they want all their pats money back. Not going to happen.

I've never understood this fascination with hard-tail bikes.
This is funny to watch, Superbike Champ Troy Corser racing a 1928 supercharged BMW without suspension.

Here's another where he crashes it

How hard is it to get a title for something like that is your state? In NC a bonded title can be had for a bit of effort and a few dollars, a PITA but possible. In NY the DMV flatly refused to even consider it, gave me a short, harsh "NO" when I asked about. That looks like a pretty decent candidate to save intact if title issues are not insurmountable. Keys can be had or recreated also. I hate to see clean (ish) bikes lost. Then again I have been reminded by friends (and wife) "you can't save them all".

I just emailed him to see if it was still available. For $500 I'm willing to take a chance thats its an easy fix. Bikes are going for crazy prices lately so it seems like a no brainer.

This bike was for sale on TradeMe (NZ's equivalent to EBay). It sold for NZ$6050 which is around US$4400, I wasn't prepared to pay more than $6k for it. I took it for a test ride, although the bike is all there the clutch, front suspension and brakes feel spongy and well used. The engine makes a pronounced tappet noise and the carbs leak and it's been in an accident at some point. All that stuff could be fixed, especially as it came with a lot of spare parts.
So this is the question - was it over priced or should I have kept bidding?

Sounds more than double where it should have been, if it was a wrecked bike...... and sorry, but that paint ruins it for me—-

Motorcycles cost more in this part of the world, there's a limited supply of classics & the weather allows us to ride year-round. That said I think you're right, it's probably well over-priced. Don't you like the blue? That's what attracted me to it.

There was an Jap import 750 Seca for sale about 4 weeks ago, NZ$5,000. Really nice condition & owner was an ex cop so a trustworthy seller. I was a few hours too late with that one, really kicked myself for delaying. There are still some good deals out there.

Must be a rare machine - I knew they made an injected 650 with turbo bodywork - and they're also rare over here - but never seen a carbed 750 with that style.

Yes the price that they sell for in the United States is much cheaper than I've seen around the world.

This is why people are importing them into the uk by the container load, selling them for three times what they cost in the states. To be fair they are generally in good ish condition rust wise.

Or a Canadian flag on the side, however it looks too new to pass as a Canadian Military vehicle.
