    nice looking bike, sounds like chain guide let go or if lucky the springs on the shifter let go

    I like the missing muffler on one side and the upside down one on the other....

    -The battery acid rust on the frame/swingarm
    -the rusty and worn foot peg
    -the missing lens in front right turn signal

    NOW--- who else noticed that it is the RIGHT muffler that is missing?!?! The left muffler IS The one still on the bike

    It looks to me like it has a 4-1 header (look at the collector), and someone used the left muffler on it to save some money.

    I would, in fact, buy that for a dollar.

    oooh but I like the looks of that!
    Rather optimistic price and says nothing about running condition . . . . "ran perfect before being put away - 38 years ago" or even a "carbs cleaned, needs fine tuning".

    I didn't..... there was all kinds of crap and water leaking out, and there was an incessant loud whine. Top speed was just creeping along, barely even a crawl.

    Oh, man. I saw 2500, and was kinda thrown. I mean, for 2500, it would have to be minty, AND you'd still struggle to find a buyer. 2500 can get you a lot of motorcycle.

    But then I read two running bikes and a parts bike, and I was all "Well, ok, that's not so bad then" ... Then I got to the $4500 for the lot.

    I'd be happy to pay out 900 for the 700X, if it were close and I had the extra funds. Looks like a good deal.

    Edit: my wife even liked the idea, until I told her it is in Oshkosh, hundreds of miles away from us.
