    I've heard (and done) that on a V-8 , you can fill a "soda" bottle with water, and invert it over a fast running motor, and it will safely eat the water as fast as it "glugs" out of the bottle.

    No hydro-lock on engines with 76 CC combustion chambers, but the XJ's have 23 CC chambers - - so go gentle !!

    to polock, yes exactly! if done right, you are essentially steam cleaning the combustion chambers.
