be carefull out ther just saw the aftermath of bike vs. car

just witnessed the aftermath of a bike + car collision not looking good for the biker (male), driver of the car (female) had at least a broken arm and was pulled out of the car strapped to a backboard by paramedics but wasn't in critical condition. Another woman and a child in the car appeared to be ok.

I was leaving work today (6.5 mile dirt road from the operations center to the main road) I met my boss about half way our driving really fast back up in. He waved me over and told me to go back and get our AED (defibrillator). So I took off and pushed the 9-10 miles to operations and back to the main road. Bikes front end was flattened into its engine and the cars front end was about half its normal length and the front driver door was ripped off. Biker was about 50 yards or better from the crash site. They were talking about giving up on the biker when they opened up a spot and had the people from my job leave.

from what the bystandars were saying the biker cut to the inside of a left hand bend in the road.

correction: from news reports the car was the one that crossed the center line not the bike. Cars driver is listed as in serious condition.

 

so the biker died?

damn.

a few weeks ago a car crossed the centerline and crashed straight into a pack of 10 bikers. one died on the scene, and another died in the hospital since then. just so messed up.
