Bill Schmitt Card Ride organizational thread!

No guarantees once I lose possession of the card, but I'll try my damnedest to keep track of it.

 

do you have someone in Indiana if it is coming this way i will gladly do the honor of seeing that it gets to where it needs to go. I am in Indianapolis.

 

Perhaps we can arrange drop off points at local motorcycle dealers who can hold the card till the next rider arrives to pick it up. It would releive trying to schedule individual meets. If we have a few days or a week between pick ups thats ok. All I ask is we get it to NC before I have to put snow chains on the Max!

 

by the sounds of it, we should get it there while the grills are able to be used

 

That's right I want to enjoy a nicely grilled steak when I get to Bill's with the card.. And my blood has gotten thin living in FL

 

I volunteered to cover the Baltimore, MD Area. I can get to hagerstown and take east toward baltimore or south toward DC/VA. Let me know when and it'll be done so long as it's not tonight. I have to put the tires back on the bike.

Still willing from akron to ???. I'll need some advance notice, though since I've work and kids and stuff.

 

thanks grutz! I know there are some others in that area that are riding as well. I am trying to get the list that is around here of riders that will ride their area, so I will see what we can find out for dates/times.

 

Folks, I would like to request that all willing riders PM me with ride radius so I can begin to develop a map. I have contacted members from vmaxforum and have a few willing riders. However I believe the bulk of the gaps can be filled by CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) based on their positive response. Might I suggest that since this forum has many members, many of whom have lost friends and relatives, perhaps we should make a BIGGER statement to increase the awarenss of motorcycles and help with their healing provess as well.

XJers, This is your baby, I don't want to bulldoze anyone. But please understand that Bill's wife and kids are looking forward to recieving this card. In honor of my brother, I will not let them down.

I will be glad to carry the message with mad_bohemian to Grand Rapids and then on to the Detroit area with MadMaxim85 but I need to know I definate date. I live in Gobles Mi. W. of Kalamazoo

 

I am trying to figure that out as well. we need input from the folks on the left coast. there is a card out there somewhere waiting to get moving, we just need to find it.

 

Can anyone tell me the status of this event?!? Is this going to be a spring event or are we trying to do it this year yet??

 

ummmmmm kinda out o the way but i aint doin nothin bout now and would love to join the gig. i am coming from florida and need more information and location. Yea this is my first one guys so i must say i barely knew bill but have heard everyone speak so highly of him,i feel like i knew him. anyway he is with us still. let me know please how i can be of support.

 

The Northern Illinois thru lower Michigan and then down into Ohio as far as Akron leg is covered.

I'll round up all the names of everybody who's already volunteered and get it posted, but our leg is good.

we are working on a leg in cali that is very long and needs to be split up. As soon as I hear something, I will let you all know.

Helmet... I meet with some CMA riders tomorrow. If they can't fill the void then lets snail mail them to me and I'll run them from florida. Or if we can forwar them to the last rider and I can pick them up there wich ever is do able
