The blinkers on my 1982 550 Maxim were working just fine but all of the sudden only one side works now. If I try to signal left nothing happens, no blinkers the the blinker indicator on the gauge cluster doesn’t even blink. Could it be a fuse? Did a solder joint inside the control housing come loose? Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

have you checked the bulbs? Start with the usual suspects first before you look at solder joint

if one side works fuse is good
check the bulbs first could be bad bulb or the end of the bulb has dented in and not making contact .

check to see if wires are connected from back blinker lift the seat wires are under seat.
next would be connectors in headlight bucket.

clean sockets and connectors with electronic contact cleaner spray and use a little bulb grease(dielectric grease) on each bulb abd connector.

remove control and examine inside for loose wire there is a little board with three wires soldered to it one of your wires may have broken.
