Hello everyone, I am a new XJ550 owner. It is my first motorcycle for the street and I have decided to start a cafe racer project with a 1982 XJ550 Maxim. I bought the bike non running and with carb issues. when i opened the carbs yesterday i noticed that on the 3rd carb i opened, its pilot jet housing was cracked in half. i think i found the issue with the bike :)

My question is if there would be any Slide Carbs that people have switched too, where i can buy a set of 4 slide carbs and mount them to this bike. i am not a big diaphragm carb fan but if i need i will buy a new carb for the set i have. If there are not other carbs that work with this bike, then i am curious if anyone knows of where i can buy a single carburetor to attach to my existing 3 that are in perfectly good condition. I have found 2 different sets of carbs on ebay for roughly 200-250 dollars, and was hoping to not have to spend this much on carbs, when only one is broken.

someone on here should have a #3 body they will part with. as for slide carbs, that's going to be big bucks and all sorts of fitting problems.
diaphragm carbs work well once dialed in
