Was reading the manual I found yesterday.

Apparently "Park" turns the tail light on and leaves it on.
So I went out to check on my ride.
Yup I left it in Park for 2 days.

Glad my local walmart has motorcycle charger for like $20... Joy

Read your manual newbies if you can find it!!!!!!!!!!!

    Edit:
I still don't know how to get the Maxim Side panels off w/o breaking them. Maybe its in the manual that I haven't fully read yet. SIGH

Pull evenly with firm pressure. Even is the key.

    Remove seat.

Left side - Remove bolt at top front corner then Pull evenly with firm pressure and slide to the back.(Back corner is a loop)

Right side - Remove screw from bottom corner then lift front off the tab and slide back off rear tab.

I seperated(the aluminum frame and the plastic pannel) mine when I polished the aluminim and panted the pannel. there are three clips on posts that you would need to remove. Mine broke (the clips not the posts) while I was removing them (old rusty and brittle)

When I put them back together I use a bead of silicone around the posts and it seems to be holding fine (just an alterative if you cant find new clips)

Interesting... Didn't realize it was metal and plastic. Good to know they also come apart - Won't have to mask the metal while panting the plastic

And yes I have the "rare" right panel - LOL

i believe on some of them, you can get your finger behind it and push the post out
if you get one loose, spray some wd40 back there to get the rest
the right side is, bolt, then up in the front, then back off the pin
