So I ended up buggering two of my carbs #2 & #3
BOTH regarding the idle air jet... :(

#3 has an EZ Out permanantly embedded in the brass screw.
#2 has damage to the Ultrafine thread, but the screw is removed :?

I cant make the situation any worse, but it should have never gotten this far...

Anyone want to part with two carb bodies. HiTots for the 750 seca :D
Or at least share some advise.
#2 maybe find an ultra fine die???
and # 3 maybe eat away the edges with a TINY dremel bit...?

Or just NUKE the whole rack into oblivion :D

    Seriously, any carb bodies?

I just happened to have a spare set of 650 parts carbs... IIRC the 2&3 bodies are in decent shape, other than needing to be thoroughly cleaned... I've removed all the removable bits from them, so you will have to use your own. I do have the jets, but they will need to be cleaned as well. No stripped threads, either... I you're interested I'll dig them up when I get home to see what's what.

The 650 and 750 carb bodies are the same (besides the internal bits, of course) but the 650 carb bodies could have either the very fine-threaded ports for the idle mixture screws ('82-3 models) or they could have the coarse-threaded ports for the idle mixtures crews ('80-1 models). Obviously, they require the proper type of idle mixture screw (thread) for each type of body, which might lead to a mis-match (all of the 750 bodies are the same as the '82-3 650 bodies, meaning fine-pitched threading for the idle mixture screws).

Given that you have 2 carb bodies that need some work, you might be able to go to a local machine shop in Central Texas, USA and get a "quantity price" on having them salvaged. Re-tapping the ultra-fine threads is easy if you have the proper sized tap (which I offer, by the way, but it's not cheap because it IS such an odd thread pitch: m6 x .50tp)
and they could probably also lovingly extract the ez out and whichever brass screw you are referring to (the idle mixture screw, I suppose).

P.S. a lot of heat on the carb body in that area works wonders for such matters......
