Carb Clinic

Do you just make up you own clinic name or what??

Joel07 and I are putting together a little get together on Sunday the 11th of June. Joel will be suppling the shop and tools, computer for the XJCD's.

I'll be bringing my mercury carb sticks, colortune plug, v3 and v4 xjcd, and hopefully I'll have my yics tool by then.
There will be my 650, another non yics 650 and an xj750, and I think 2 or 3 other non xj's.
I don't think any of us are carb guru's but were going to get together and give it a wack anyway, get to know some other xj riders, swap tales and do a little wrenching.

So anyone in the Durham, North Carolina or surrounding area's, come on by and join us.

We are still finalizing the details of time and such, but will be getting back with you shortly.

One minor change though to avoid going down the gravel road. When coming down Hillsborough Rd., instead of turning onto Christian Ave., turn into the Waffle House parking lot. If you continue through their parking lot, and go all the way down the hill, you'll hit Butler Ave, which leads directly to HRT Racing. Don't want to make it sound more confusing than it is, just want everyone to not have to get all dusty! :lol:

 

It sounds good ... but I might not ...
I eyeball synch my carbs, and the Max X actually didn't need any synching ... the max was eyeball synched and needs re assembly ... exhaust and tank coating mainly ... In any case if I am comming that way anyway I'll work it in, but my saturdays usually are insane ... the best and the worst get shoved to the sunday after ... you know that ... the best happens when you're in the process of getting drunk, and the worst happnes right after the process is a success ...
In any case Max X is roaring ... needs some minor stuff ... but else its kicking ass.

OK, looks like we're meeting here at the shop at 1:30. I'll have plenty of water here, and I'll grab some 2 liters of assorted sodas as well. We'll kind of play dinner by ear, depending on how long it takes to get the bikes all sorted out, we may end up grilling out here, ordering pizza/subs, or taking a ride and going out to eat!

Want to give a big public thank you to Richard!! Also want to apologize for not being as prepared as we should have been. Learned a lot about these carbs yesterday, and hopefully the next one should go much more smoothly! Also, Richard's bike is even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures.
