    Is it just two bolts, wipe mating surfaces, and put new one on? The new one has an o ring gasket on it already and I have a new oval one from Yamaha. I'm low on gas and want to try is without making a mess.

    That's pretty much it; tip the nearly empty tank away from the tap and you should be able to do it with no spillage.
