    The CMS (Computer Monitoring System):

Key on powers up in standby mode with all icons displayed and the warning light illuminated. It will not become active until the bike is started and one leg of AC Generator applies a signal to enable

When initially activated each function is stepped through displaying the particular icon on the LCD display .

The "Check" button then can be used to reactivate the BIT (Built In Test) sequence, but is not really needed as the CMS once activated continuously monitors all the parameters noted on the LCD display as long as the bike is running.

    Fail detected:

That particular icon will remain displayed on the LCD screen, and the red warning light will flash notifying of a problem

The flashing warning light will go to steady state illuminated if the "Warning Control" button is pushed once and the failed parameter will remain displayed on the LED display

The steady state illuminated warning light will go off if the "Warning Control" button is pushed again, but as above the failed parameter will remain displayed on the LCD screen

All icons are self correcting if the fault is corrected with the exception of the brake light in which case the "TAIL" icon will remain displayed until the fault is corrected and power is recycled to the enable signal.
