    Hello

I have a xs 750 triple that has been sitting for several years and I just got the bike out and started working on it.

The engine was seized and it took some hard rocking to get it free. It turns free now but the clutch is stuck. I put it in gear and pull the clutch cable and it won't roll.

What would make the clutch stick and how do it fix it?

The cable seams to work , feels a bit stiff but it moves.

    Thanks

rust, sitting it's less than half in the oil and w/o riding it never gets fully bathed in oil. Pull it apart and clean or replace (more likely) friction plates.

I will take a look at them when I get a gasket for the cover. Well it is running after 5 years! I got the bike 3 years ago and just got around to it.

Put it in 5th gear, get on and rock back and forth (holding clutch in). You might break them loose.

It worked! I changed the oil ran the bike for a few and let it sit overnight.

Went out this morning and got it in 5th and with a few rocks it was free!

I ran it up and down the drive way and it worked well.

    Thanks
