Can anyone please tell me what bike this is? All I know is that it is a yamaha V-Twin, it's belt driven and it was home built. I can't seem to find a vinnumber anywhere and it's driving me insane.

somehow the proportions don't look right, is it some kind of mini bike.
if there's no VIN, it was never meant to be on the road

    definitely not a V-Star.
It was originally a Roadstar - the single pushrod tube is a dead give away.
I suspect the 1602 cc version as they've been around long enough for someone to find one cheap to build a custom.

I agree with Polock, but I thought it was lens distortion or something. Seems to me that an engine that large couldn't fit in a mini bike. It would be pretty crazy if they did!

stepping back to the podium and clearing throat, ahem..
Next time you're at a really big bike show, take a closer look at some of those customs you 1st think are Harley's. You'll find a few actually started out as Yamaha Roadstars.

Check the engine for a number plate or stamp. That will ID it.
No VIN on the frame = backyard fun bike.

I see it has a plate for road use, so it that came with the bike I would guess there has to be a number someplace that they got it road legal? Not too sure how you came about getting the bike but it you can run the plate at the local police or DMV then you should be able to see what they had for a VIN and or other info for the bike.
