Hey plumber. Does a hardtail handle better in the mud?
Just joshin', glad you didn't get hurt bad.
I rode straight into a ditch when I kinda froze up on a slow turn one time, the road was covered in sand, and my brain couldn't work out a no-crash solution.
You never know when it's coming do you?

On one of my first rides, I had my wife on the back and wasn't at all used to the weight. Needed to make a right turn from a stop at a T intersection. Trying not to lean too far, I wasn't able to make the turn and drove almost straight across the road and onto the grass on the other side. Fortunately, the drainage ditch there was only little more than a bump so I didn't spill ...

wait..... did you get any insurance money from it or anything? cuz any bike that I but my blood, sweat, and tears into, i would have that sucker on full coverage.

The bike only cost me £600 to build in the first place and all of that money came from scrap copper, so no fully comp, just 3rd party.

I'm enjoying the prospect of the rebuild and will just have to weigh in nother pile of scrap copper to pay the bills.

Well, were retting to it now, frame nearly complete, some nice old triumph bits to make up the tin work and a lovely areal tank to be cut in half and widened.

Looking good, Have you thought about doing anything with the forks, like putting a different rake on it.

I really want to hardtail my bike too, maybe next winter.
