cylinder loss after driving 65-70 for 3min

    Ok hopefully someone can help me here. After driving bike at 65-70 constant throttle the bike starts to miss three cylinders work then 4th comes in then goes out i then pull over let idle for 5 min then all clyinders are back working again anybody have any ideas im so fustrated at this point!!!!!! :cry: This problem is on an 82 xj 1100

    What color are your plugs? A little history on the bike?

    How far out are your mixture screws on each?

    Have you checked compression on the cylinders ever? (when/what #'s?)

    How old are the spark plugs? Did you ever replace them?

    When's the last time you did an oil change, and what's the oil level?

    Sounds. Like you have a valve that's too tight. Pull the valve cover and report what the clearances are.
