Dual sport tires for Xj650 Maxim?

Do you guys got any recommendations for a dual sport tire for the maxim? I did some digging around and only found 1 brand, the Kenda 761's. The maxim tire is 100/90-19 front and 130/90-16 at the back, if memory serves correctly.

If you guys got any suggestions, feel free to comment.

 

Another way to get there is to find the 18" rear wheel and brake assembly from the Seca 650 or 750. That should give you a bigger selection of tires and being a little bit larger in diameter a fractionally bit more ground clearance. It does ever so slightly provide a decrease in engine RPMs for the same ground speed. You do need the entire brake assembly because it is smaller diameter than the Maxim assembly.

 

Damn, that sounds like an expensive upgrade, i may have to save some money if I go this route.

When you say the entire assembly, does that include the shaft drive as well?

 

No, just the wheel and brake. The Seca brake drum is a smaller diameter than the Maxim. Just what comes out when you pull the axle. Easy to swap back and forth if you have both.
