So I'm getting my first bike soon though won't be riding till spring so I have sometime. I have never driven anything manual. So I'm just trying to figure out how hard this will be for me to learn. I will be taking a class in the spring. I'm 29 and 5'8 so hoping the size of the bike will work out. I'm working on my arm strength as I have no upper body strength and I know I'll need that. But I'm just wondering if anyone else has any tips on what I need to do to prepare myself.

If you keep the brake, throttle and clutch cables, especially the clutch, lubricated, you won't need much upper body strength. At least in the grippers (hands).
