    Honestly, since you wanted a "stock" look, as long as the OEM gauges were working I'd have kept them. I like the Vapor but I would have gone with out the OEM box. I think it would have looked better and you could have always swapped in the old OEM unit. Would have been a lot less work too.

    I had two sets! So, I'm planning in fixing the original and install them if one day I want to sell the bike. Sincerely I like the digital futures the vapor gauges gives you. I agree with you though. This fitting was more about experimenting and having fun!

    By what method does the vapor get it's speed, tach, and any other functions?

    Speed is done by magnet wheel sensors, tach is a coil of wire around a plug wire, temp is a bolt on sensor... I don't know how the indicators work but assuming it's just the lead to the original light.

    The temperature can be read also through a cable that goes screwed with a sparkplug.
