Does anyone know if there is a tutorial out there on how to verify the float levels using clear tubing (preferrably one with some pictures)? I am following Fitz's list. I checked and adjusted the valves, cleaned and rebuilt the carbs so that they passed the clunk test, now I still have them off the bike and I am ready to adjust the float levels.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Keep in mind that the articles referred to are done on Hitachis. The method is exactly the same, but the spec is different for your Mikunis.

For the Mikunis, the spec is 2mm +/-1mm below the "the carburetor mixing body edge."

PM me with your email address and I can send you the diagram from the factory book if you don't have one. I think the diagram is repeated in the Clymer too.

Specs for all carb models are listed at the end of the file, Fitz.

Thanks for the replies. I will be getting started on this once it warms up again in my garage. It was 80 degrees here last week and now it is going down into the 20's. I can't wait for this weather to make up it's mind!

I know. I've had a couple of instances of people looking at the pictures but not actually reading my articles. Just pointing it up.
