Saw some pics here for a set-up for measuring float level and thought I'd submit my own: Take two pieces of wood (I use a 2x6 and 2x4) and screw them together with 2 drywall screws. Then set the carbs on them and figure out where to put two more screws that will sit under bowls 1 and 4. Hand screw these in, and use them to level the carbs. Put this on a level desk or shim as appropriate.

This set-up is low and allowed me to just stack a couple of bricks and set a snow-blower tank up behind this mount. Keep-in-mind that the carbs are not *mounted*, and will fall off if you bump the desk.

    Enjoy!

*snow blower tanks make excellent test tanks, they're small, made to handle fuel and have a valve built in.
