    Hey this has prolly been answered before but when adjusting the floats height you measure from the top of the floats to the surface where the bowl seal is with the seal out or no?

    I don't actually measure the Floats.
    I measure the metal piece connecting the two Floats.

    On a Carb with the CORRECT Float Height, I measure the Height of the Center connecting frame between the to Float Pieces.
    I take a measurement from the base of the Carb Body and get the Height of the front edge of that "Bridge"

    Then, I go and Measure the other three and adjust the Tab Height to give me the SAME "Bridge" Height and that insures me that the Float will be accurate within (+/-) 1mm.

    This is so accurate thaht you can get all four Carbs Float Levels exactly the same.
    But, you need to start with one that IS Correct.
    (If you are lucky ... there's usually one Carb right on-the-money!)
