I was at one of the local motorcycle shops last week getting some new cold weather gloves. I asked about fuel stabilizer having read about seafoam several times on this site. The parts counter person said I had to stabilizer for oxygenated fuel. I have searched on line and not found any information about this.

I have been using seafoam in 700x and have not had any problems

    Is there something to this?

    Thanks

E10 and oxygenated fuels are 50 state now with the exception of a couple of marinas. Everyone on this site is correct, Sea Foam is the one product to use.

I don't like it. It made my bikes run "off" in the spring; so I switched BACK to Sta-Bil, which I've used for years with no such issues.

SeaFoam is better for cleaning than as a fuel stabilizer. Read the recent discussion here: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=29060.html
