gas cap rebuild lessons learned

Got the parts from chacal and followed the excellent instructions:

Couple lessons learned:

1) there are little springs involved, so assemble and disassemble inside a bucket.

2) if you loose a spring from the latches (appendix a) because you didn't do it in a bucket, one of the old springs from gas cap lid rebuild will work as a replacement...ask me how I know

3) have the key inserted in the core when you remove it or it will be a challenge to get it back together.

Update: my wife found a spring on the floor of the laundry room and asked what it was for. Yup, missing gas cap latch spring.
