    Hello all fellow Yamaha owners

I have a XJ1100 with the octopus diaphragm that sits on the left carb.
I rebuilt it last year with a new kit and it worked well until the other day.
It now is seeping gas from the bottom when vacuum is applied.
I took it apart and it looked fine it was a bit loose and resembled it and tightened it good. It still leaks but went from a drip to light seepage.

I don't want to buy another kit at this time and want to know what sealer I can use that will work with gas and not be to think and messy.

I don't need much to get it sealed.

What would you recommend that would be 100% safe with gas?

    Thanks

You should not need any sealer if all the parts are good. Check again to see exactly where the fuel is leaking.
There is a weep hole on the vacuum side, if it leaks there the diaphram is bad. The hole is on the bottom made into the plastic spacer
If it is leaking around the plastic spacer it may be cracked or the front diaphram is bad.
Check the fuel lines to make sure they are not leaking.
