Hey fellas!! I'm at it again! My gear shifter became " loose" suddenly. I removed the crankcase cover and discovered that the " centraliser spring" had broken apart. So I ordered the entire gear selector assembly ( couldn't find an individual spring) nn I've tried repeatedly 2 install it but w/o success.. I'm currently getting only 1st and 2nd second gears. The shifter goes all the way down ( 1st) and all the way up( 2nd). ( I also get neutral). That's it. I fitted everything according to manual instructions. What am I doing wrong here? 20200502_004400.jpg .

Did you find neutral and install the gear selector mechanism afterwards. That's what you need to do? These photos are a 900 f.

If you want to take the parts off again and check if you can select all of the gears by moving the selector drum, I think it can be moved by hand. If it was working before it must be something to do with the new parts. When I fitted mine I made sure the bike was in neutral before fitting the selector drum claws and centralising arm.

the selecter drum rotates fine. Even with the assembly connected until the bike it's moving. The parts, by the way, are replicas of the old ones. They were removed from the exact same bike is mine. I can still use the old Parts, however. All I needed was the centralizing spring from the beginning. Did you look at the pic of mine?

Yes I looked at your picture it seems fine. I don't understand why it is not moving through the gears when the bike is moving.
