I think these guys are fairly new in my area (Pacific NW), but they're great. They just opened up a store near me that puts the local Yamaha/Honda/Kawasaki dealership-stealership to absolute SHAME when it comes to accessories.

I bought a pair of riding shoes from their brick-and-mortar store and was impressed with their friendliness and great prices. http://www.cyclegear.com/store.cfm

My wife bought me a textile riding jacket from their online store and I love it. It was shipped quick and the price was really loooow. http://www.cyclegear.com/index.cfm

    Check 'em out.

Just want to say that cyclegear is amazing. The reason why is that to work there you have to buy a share of the company, so that all the employees have a stake in the performance of the company. Therefore, not only are they all very into motorcycles, they are also all very interested in making sure that you come back to cycle gear.

HIGHLY recommended. I would just about kill for one here in MI.

I see no reference to that policy anywhere I've looked so far, but that doesn't sound right. I don't like the sound of that at all. It's like being forced to join a union whether you want to or not -- yet they can be found in Right To Work states like Arizona, Texas and Tennessee.

I'm going to have to reconsider shopping there if this is the case.

Yeah, I've been there. They do have some good stuff. The only place I've seen really cool in-line filters, for about $3, if I didn't already have my orange one...These are very small clear plastic with what looks like a grindstone for filter material, couldn't find a pic, sorry, like a dremel bit in there or something, instead of paper. When mine gets dirty I'll pick one up and show you. Also, bought a helmet there last night, one of the Bell(but it doesn't say Bell, it's their "budget" brand, modular deals. I needed a second helmet and this thing was a ridiculous deal. Even $100 cheaper than I found it on Cycle Gear's own website! So it wasn't like, a fake markdown, legitimate $200+ helmet for $135, haven't tested it out yet, I'll let you know.

Cycle gear is great - see my post on the Jacket exchange in this forum

WARNING The inline filters are JUNK. I bought 2 - one had the nipple snap off when I took the tank off and the second had the seam open and spewed gas. the plastic is brittle. Granted my application puts a slight downward pressure on carb side but they should not fail tha way....

I had the same type filter on my bike and it snapped off, didnt get it from cycle gear, got it from the local dealership.

Ive a Briggs and Stratton little green one on there now, the only thing they had in the little out of the way country store.....amazing they had them there amongst the skittles and chips.

haha, Hound, I haven't "tested" one that way since I was riding my Honda st90. I meant, the modular ones have a tendency to be noisy. I did ride with it on briefly, trying to do a plug chop, but I had the flip-up part up, since I was just racing up the block and then down my driveway. Somehow went from too lean on 1 and 2 to too rich on 3 and 4, but that's another story.

Too bad those filters are garbage, they are way smaller than any I've seen, mine puts a weird kink in the line where it has to bend down, it's just too long to allow a gentle curve in the line, I haven't seen one of those 90 degree angle filters anywhere around here, just linear ones.
