I am going to be home alone Aug. 21 and 22. I would like to go for a one day ride leaving from southern New Hampshire returning to the same. I would camp but I must water the dog and walk my garden. Any suggestions, I was thinking south for I have gone North. Any great sites sounds or food would be awesome. Ohh 10 hours would be the limit as well.

I would suggest the Adirondack Mountains, NY. There is an old resorted hotel called "The Woods Inn" in the town of Inlet that is great. Its right at the north end of Fourth Lake and has everything you could need. Its right on route 28 in the village of Inlet. That would be one sweet ride from NH. I'd make that ride in a second....in fact I think I'm going to plan that for September. Have fun if you go.

Any road on a MA/CT/NY map that follows a river/stream is a good ride (and I guess NH, ME, VT for that matter). I do weekend trips often that are a connect the dots of river roads through NY and CT and never had a bad experience.
