Found it with 7k miles on craigslist. I got it with a windshield for 1.5k, in incredible condition for a bike of its age. The seller found it barned, cleaned up the carbs so it ran better, and then his wife didn't like it. She's making him get a goldwing ;) The only big cosmetic problems were a rip in the seat and a beat up left faring, replaced easily on ebay and now sitting in my room.

God this bike is fun. I'm working on upgrading the electrical system/lighting and brakes (thanks forum for the help). Then When the BMW F 800 GS comes out, I'm cafe chopping the seca to bits (I'm saving for that beast). This bike is PERFECT for that look, and I like the racer style and hate crotch rockets. Clearly eurocruisers appeal to me.

Sometime this fall or next year I'll hopefully have some pics of what I'm gonna do. Seatcowl, clubmans, rearends, progressive suspension springs to lower it, and the like. The paint job I have in mind is gonna be great - I know guys who work cheap and well.

I just have one question. Does anyone know a place besides Omar's to get rearends? I have a friend with a C and C machine, so if worse comes to worse I'll have him fashion some of those, but I'm obsessive about adding weight and don't want that monster of a frame on my bike.

The funniest thing I'm gonna do is put an unattached NOX bottle on the frame so people think I can burn them. Incidentally, has anyone here used NOX on their seca, and how'd the bike take it? Cause I thought I might be the only guy who'd even put NOX and seca together, even if it's just to f*** with people, but then I found this forum ;)
