Howdy Speedqueen, For maximum safety, practice, practice, and practice some more using BOTH front and rear brakes, listen to the sound the tires make as you practice and remember what those sounds are when you ride, and you shouldn't have any problems. Watch out for diesel spills on the road, watch out for sand and gravel, learn who to "read" the road's surface. To find out what your bikes limitations are you have to push the envelope carefully, I practiced on my Honda CB350 in the empty parking lot of my local DMV.

Top stuff. It is good feeling when your hard work pays off and you can go out and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I am really looking forward to getting my 900 back on the road

Thanks again guys, and good luck with the 900 trokel! If I found a 900 around here for cheap that was revivable I'd have a hard time passing on it... that or a 550 Seca... you're right gunnabuild1, it could definitely turn into an addiction!
