:?: Hey guys , Id liketo know if anybody would liketo share how they made there own rear fender . Im looking to make one out of fiber glass. I just started playing with the stuff and its Awsome ! My plan is to fabricate a mold off of an old tire of the same diameter and a little greater width and cardboard for flat spots (for the light ) , then cut the shape I want to achieve. Im using electrical tape, Aluminum tape , Carnuba wax , Fiberglass And cloth . The same method I ve done for my custom seat pan . I would love to know others experiences , or just tips on manipulating fiberglass. Thanks

I love the creativity and feeling of making something unique !
Apply your second layer while the first is still wet. ( work fast)
I've used masking tape, plaster and aluminum foil.
4 layers should be strong enough for just about anything.
