headers...?

    Obviously this is my first bike, and i don't want to screw anything up too badly, but there are some things that I have to do to get it running...

    One of these is replace the exhaust joint and pipes. Can I remove the exhaust headers to clean them and to mount the new joint and pipes? Or will I have to replace an O-ring or something of the sort?

    There is a crush washer between the heads and headers. Hope that's what you're talkin' about???

    Those are the ones at the head.

    There are also gaskets within the collector box "spigots" that you'll probably need to replace as well, since you're replacing the collector box.

    Additionally, the collector box-to-frame mounting point incorporates a couple of rubber/metal composite "dampers" that should be replaced; likely the originals are long gone.

    Check with XJ4Ever for everything you'll need.
