    my xj had very fine screens on the float seats. along with the petcock and inline filter.

    Well call me a girl... or what ever... but I am going to chicken out of this carb set up nighmere/witch craft....

    I have decided to contact a rolling road specialist... who has agreed to dyno my bike and then fix it to what ever jet/jets or needle required... and not too expensive either...

    I am planning on dropping it off at the weekend and then leaving it with him for a week or so till its all sorted... after all he specialises in tuning race bikes etc... and has all the tools and parts to trial and error... saves me buying more and more and still not getting it 100%

    so fingers crossed...

    I had a similar problem... give this a shot:

    Put your tank on PRI while you increase your speed. If it runs fine, then your issue is in your petcock/fuel delivery system. My bike would starve simply because I had a clogged screen...
