Help! She's bleeding to death.

    Okay. Just rebuilt the carbs, and got them on the bike. Good news was she started up pretty easily and even managed a pretty good idle.

    Was allowing a little time for warm up (about 4 minutes) and noticed a spot of oil on the floor under the right side. Looked on that side and noticed a bit more oil.

    Oil seems to be coming somewhere from between 3 and 4 and at the seam between the two halves of the finned part of the motor. (Buckets?) It does not appear to be running down from the valve cover gasket. This is not a small oil leak.

    Never leaked here before. Replaced shims on intake 2 and 4 and exhaust 3 to get to specks. Valve cover gasket is new.

    The new valve cover gasket may need to settle in & be re- torqued, the oil can run from that gasket down inside the plug canyon & leech out between the fins.

    Wiz, you are the man.

    Checked in there with a light and out came the oil as soon as I cranked her up. Will pull the VC again and see if I mucked something up as I placed it back on as this is no small leak, but easily visable.
