Just though I would share this with you all. Pitch in if you have had a similer experiance.

Basicly had trouble with fuel so drained tank removed petlock. Was currious as to how this part worked so opend up I now know and I found a spring corroded so basicly need a new petlock.

Here she is tank removed. (Gets better)

I noticed insulation tape wrapped arroud one of the HT leads and on closer inspection found the same on another two leads. Well if you have seen another of my posts you will realise I have a little electrical experiance so alarm bells began to ring. Especialy becouse of the position of the tape (They could not be seen untill the tank was removed) Being the currious type of person that I an I carefully cut away the tape from one lead to find it had been jointed  but at least they had crimped the joint together.

So now I need two coils

Yikes! Somebody was down right desperate and none too bright! A temporary fix at best. Glad you didn't find it on a dark, wet night. From the looks of things, you've got some serious corrosion prevention to perform on that frame. Get it early, it will dig in quickly.

Yep it is my intention to get the engine up and running first. Then strip her compleatly down. We have an engineering department at work and they have offerd to blast the frame then powder coat it.

I just want to mess about with her for a while so I can be shure I can put her back together again.
