I've been hanging around on the gsresources for years (got a 400 twin in 85 which now is a parts donor for another 400). Someone got a XJ750 seca with factory fairing and someone else mentioned this place.

Because I have a XJ900F (4BB) now and I always have bikes a long time, I thought it could be useful to register here also.

I put new bars on my bike and it wouldn't start unless I jumped the relay...I only like to use forums on on bikes and cars because of the like mindedness approach to solving problems and not just one person feeding you info...got some info on testing EVERYTHING on here only to find out the coating on the bars was not allowing the button to ground! after a huge DUH and hours of fiddling I have joined and glad I did Because the bug bit me hard and I love the bike ....a huge Thanks to all of you!

Damn, beneath my screen name it says 'biker wannabee'. Hm, bummer. I would think riding for 27 years and about 300.000 miles should make me at least an biker novice :(

    johns,

The ranking is based on the number of "posts" you have.

I found this site as I was contemplating swapping my dirt bike for my XJ700. I used Google and simply typed, "Maxim XJ700" I believe. I actually trolled this site before I decided to trade my non-problematic Suzuki DR125SE for the beloved beast that I have now.

The wonderful posts on this forum actually helped "nudge" me in the right direction with the trade and I haven't looked back since!

Heh, I was looking for information about a sissybar.
Ended up on this forum and saw a members' XJ that had one, so I knew they'd exist for the XJ ;)

Been trolling internet postings for an XJ550RH for sale. References to xjbikes.com naturally came up. Decided I would join once I purched a bike. Looks to be a great site.

I searched "XJ750 forum" on my default engine, think it's Bing.

So far had a read through the church of clean & information overload stuff for a good few hours, and found more excellent info on my (rare???) XJ750E-II, this forum's been a lifesaver, literally, to many (esp. regarding brake delamination fault!) and I'm sure it'll get me out of some tough spots while re-commissioning/restoring my new baby 8)

I purchased a 1982 xj750r seca about 4 months ago that had been sitting for 30 yrs and hit google looking for help with my project. XJbikes.com popped up the first couple of searches and I have been a member since, thanks for all the help guys and gals. It would not be a daily cruiser today if not for this site.

I was thinking of buying an 85 XJ700 and typed "Yamaha Maxim XJ700N" into google to see what information I could find. I came across this site and after seeing how much people loved these bikes and how much information was available I decided to get one and join. I picked up 2 XJ700's for $400 total that need carbs rebuilt so I have a lot of reading to do.
