I very recently purchased a XJ bike and found this site by searching the year and xj750 Seca combined trying to learn all I could about my bike. Needless to say I ain't searching anymore. This site has a wealth of information and a great bunch of guys more than willing to help each other out.

At the time I was busy getting my drivers license, I was also searching for a motorbike. On the Internet I found a nice sharp looking bike, it was the Yamaha XJ700 Maxim which has got my interests. Since then every day I was searching the Internet for XJ700 bikes and this is how I also found the XJBikes site. And now, I do have my drivers license and a nice sharp looking XJ 700 N Maxim ’85 motorbike and member of XJBikes.

I saw it suggested in another forum while looking for XJ info.
I'm a forum junkie. An hour or so a night.

I was a member way back when (late 90s?) of the XJ mailing list when I first got my bike. I didn't like the format - getting all kinds of email that I didn't understand and wasn't interested in. I dropped off.

Then last year, tinkering again - I was at my wits end with my Seca and I remembered the list and thought I would try it again. I googled XJ and it brought me here. Now I'm addicted!

Can't remember if I answered before. Don't think so.

I put XJ550 pilot screw adjustment in google and one of the results was a post on these forums. Plus I was looking specifically for a forum for XJ's since I've had a lot of luck with forums on other vehicles (namely my Bronco) and the yahoo groups I was on weren't cutting it.
