I searched the words "Yamaha XJ550 Maxim history" to find out about the bike. I tried to also find a good source for parts and actually got better results by using Google image search and viewing the site that the pics were on..

I found it through google... not sure what I put in. But I found it quite a few times before I actually joined. Always some good information... esp with my bike coming in a million pieces.

A friend gave me my xj650 for helping him with his car.

I think i googled yamaha maxim hoping to find some info on the bike and after looking through a few pages, I stumbled on this place. I was blown away by the number xj enthusiasts! I had no idea there was such a following for this bike. (which I LOVE by the way)

I spilled Jim Beam on my key board and after shaking most of it off this web site appeared. Or did I Google?
I wanted to conect with other Seca riders, get tech tips and found this place with Google. My friend had a brand new Seca in the 80', it was real fast. I want mine to run like his did....Jim

I was on the XJ Micapeak list and got dropped off during one of the transitions. I'm way more of a forum type so I went looking. Funny thing is I looked pretty seriously a few months ago and couln't find this site again as I had changed my computers and lost the link. I thought the site went down and was bummed. I tried again a week ago and here it is in all it's glory.

This time I found it through Google and searched for "XJ Maxim Forum".

And you thought you would find 13 year old girls here on XJ forums?

More like 15 years old Maxim or Seca!

    Go figure!

Anyway, when I brought my Seca, I googled up several sites and found a link to this site. At first I couldn't figure out how to get to the forum part so I didn't stick around long. However, when I had to find more information on the bike, I came across this site again so I thought I would try again.

Needless to say, I figured out the features. I'm really glad I found XJbikes.

Just bought a 1980 xj650h a few days ago and a friend linked me up while i was showing him the pics. He's a fan of 4 cylinder shafties just like I am. Used to ride an old Kawasaki 700 LTD. I think this XJ should match the the old kaw performance wise. What yall think?
