    Possibly so. Or an opportunity for enterprising young folks to develop programming tools and interfaces so that individual thresholds can be adjusted to allow add ons to function within the CANBUS system. Hmmmm..........

    I LOVE my Pontiac. Of course I should preface that by saying they haven't built a decent car since 1970 (sorry you Trans Am fans, I'm not budging on that one). Schoot, I hear your annoyance (or more so your father's), but it isn't any great suprise to hear of these problems. Car systems are so stinkin' integrated these days that you can't just patch stuff in like we all used to. At my last job, we fought for months to get a car to work right as we had to have each and every part we sourced recoded at the stealership ($90 a pop) so that the car would accept the part and not lock up. And we had a fair number of parts. What a hassle. This included the windshield wiper reservior. Thank heavens we still don't have to give a DNA sample to get into the machine...
