lol another iowa guy stuck on wiring like myself, I feel your pain man! I was going to attempt to rebuild one but ive missed two seasons now....Think im just going to buy a used on Ebay and cross my fingers....once upon a time someone posted a link to a guy that makes them but I cant locate the post and no one seems to remember what im talking about lol

 

How close to cedar rapids are you I may be able to help I eliminated most of my wiring

 

One of my good friends lives near you we are looking at a Maxim later today I have worked out the electrical issues maby I can help sometime

 

I think I need to get new harness first before I have someone help me with it. Ill get pics tomorrow when the sun is out and show ya what im working with lol its quite possibly the worse shape ive ever seen a harness in hahahha but once I get going we'll have to get a ride together. would be cool to have an XJ gathering. Your close enough to me id gladly ride to you for it. Back when the bike was functioning a good ride wasnt less than 500 miles in a day hahhaha Thanks for the offer though brotha! I just might take you up on it if the used harness im looking at doesnt fix my issues lol
