Is the Rear Diff on a 650 and 750 the same?

    Is the Rear Diff on a 650 and 750 the same?

    The final drive gear assembly on all the early 80's XJ 650s (Maxim and Seca) and 750s (Maxim and Seca) appears to be part number 5G2-46101.

    I'm not 100% positive that having the same part number for the final drive gear assembly means they have the same gear ratios, but I would think so.

    For sure the 900s are different.

    You are correct.....same part number (full part number; you have eliminated the last 4 digits) means that it's the same part.
