Project '82 XJ750 SECA Bobber! List of the mods:

    - Get rid of the "Atari box". I have a new speedometer already!

    - Convert 2 a round headlight. Still workin' on those parts...

    - Replace the stock turn signals with smaller ones. I have already!

    - Cut the rear off. The section behind the shocks.

    - I haven't decided yet. If I'm going 2 put in struts. 2 make it a "rigid". Since I don't have access 2 make a "true rigid" frame. Or if I'm goin' 2 buy smaller shocks. 2 get the bike lowered...

    - Custom fit in a Harley rear fender N taillight. Still lookin' 4 the best buy!

    - Forward controls.

    - Mini Ape Hangers. 12"er's

    - Solo seat. with maybe a "removable" rear seat. 4 the ladies! :p

    - Custom side covers.

I'm sure there's more. Like a fork brace, Cut up my front fender, Paint, Cut-up the exhaust, etc...

You might be better served tossing your coin in other areas (good brakes). I can appreciate your need to individualize your scoot, but the fastest, flashiest, most pimped out ride is still only as good as its brakes. You may enjoy your current riding style, but you should anticipate the worst case scenario (Been there, done that, but didn't save the flat-spotted Dunlop 401s,or the heavily soiled BVDs to prove this). You never know what might end up in your path,so it is best to be proactive. It isn't as if these bikes had stellar braking systems when new,so at a minimum,it would be a wise idea to bring BOTH ends up to OEM specs.I am not trying to be a jerk, but I have lived long enough (God only knows why!) to know that a bike should not be able to outrun its brakes.
